Haiku writing is a perfect exercise for engaging with the environment, the season and just taking time to slow down and notice life happening around you.
I took a few quiet moments and reflected on my recent time outside in nature over the past couple of weeks and wrote a few Haikus.
Please do share with me anything you have noticed this autumn season and any Haikuβs you have may written. I would love to read them. Autumnal blessings to you all! π π π

Old oak stands watchful,
acorns scatter by the bins β
autumn’s quiet gift.

Heron splits the dawn-
squawking, wings catch the river,
mist curls in its wake.

Brown shells, autumn’s gleam –
hands full of garden treasure,
lined up by the glass.

Small jaws gently workβ
lichen cracks, earth-scented air-
moss and joy entwine.

Wet leaves cling to hands,
Cold soil swallows quiet dreams-
Spring sleeps underground.
