Last Saturday I went surfing for the first time ever and LOVED it. It was a cold, wet, windy and wave-y day but it was sooooo much fun. Although I literally don’t think I have ever been so physically tired after any sport in my life!!
I met the organiser/surfing instructor and all the other beginner surfers at Aberdeen beach at 8am. After a struggle getting the wetsuits on we finally made it to the beach and after a short introduction we were in the water. Aside from galloping on a horse I don’t think there is anything more freeing than swimming in the sea. For me it is one of the best feelings ever.
We had to cut the session short due to the currents/tide being extremely strong and for our safety the instructor felt it was time to get out. The waves were powerful and I got dragged under a few times and hit on the head by my surf board but it was such a fun experience that I hope to do more often.

Last week we had a few days that were so sunny and so I spent a lot of time in the garden. I love this time of year when everything starts to blossom and flower and there is colour everywhere.

I have been making some homemade salt scrubs to exfoliate and hydrate my skin and they have worked wonders. I have generally been making and using them weekly and my skin looks brighter and feels softer. I am using a combination of olive and almond oil and I have been taking vitamin E supplements alongside scrubbing. I have been adding small amounts of fresh rosemary, mint and lemon balm from the garden and some of my lavender essential oil that I made last year.
