Garden Robin
I saw this little Robin the other day and was reminded of this quote,
‘I am no bird; and no net ensnares me; I am a free human being with an independent will.’ – Charlotte Bronte.
A friend gave me a necklace with this quote on it years ago and I still treasure it. Freedom, life and love!
Today I have been thinking about the cottage I used to live in on The Chanonry in Old Aberdeen. It was an old Alms house and the history of it is absolutely fascinating. Although it was just a tiny bedsit with no heating aside from a coal fire and zero insulation, I loved it. It was absolutely baltic but it just had so much character that I couldn’t help but love it. It was over 200 years old and living in it was like living in the olden days. For a long time I had to wash my clothes by hand and most days I had to light the coal fire. Today for some reason I am really, really missing it. It was absolutely freezing at night and I would fall asleep in front of the fire with about 10 layers on to keep me warm! It was so close to the university for my Mlitt and it really was a magical place to live.

During the time I lived here I bought a little kitten and I named her Sparkles. Sadly she only lived for 18 months but she was my little baby. She was quite vicious at times but I still thought she was cute.
