Brambles, gin and a frog

Yesterday I went to Countesswell woods with the sole purpose of bramble picking. It was a lovely morning and I  managed to pick enough brambles to make bramble and apple infused gin which I am really looking forward to tasting.

It was a lovely bright morning and the wildlife of the woodland was alive and kicking. The birds were singing, the sun was shining and the forest was buzzing with wildlife activity. The two most interesting forest critters I came across were a frog and a weird stick like caterpillar-esque creature. I thought it was a stick on my bag but then it started moving! The friendly frog joined me on my picnic blanket for quite a while as my purple stained fingers dealt with the blackberries. I think he was after one himself!
