A few weeks ago I decided to make a little ‘bug hotel’ for the garden to invite helpful insects to move in. I found some little wooden scraps and mini pallets in the house and shed and gathered some sticks, hollow bamboo, stone and acorns to provide sheltered hovels for the garden’s creepy crawlies.

It was a fun project and I managed to pass an afternoon in a productive ‘creative zone’. The insects in our garden are spoilt as I even ’tiled’ the roof for them!
